Dave McRae informs portrobinsonroad.com that the Port Robinson Road screenplay is in the middle of going through some small adjustments.
"They're nothing major in the slightest, says McRae. Just some minor tweaks, polishing of scenes, dialogue and action. I haven't looked at it since 2008, and it's been a refreshing experience to go back, read the entire piece over, and be able to adjust things. I still feel it's a solid piece of work, and every time I read it, I think to myself, ya, this is really good."
McRae says he hasn't ruled out the option of now shooting one scene, a few scenes, or even the entire motion picture on his own.
"I haven't ruled that out as of yet, but shooting the entire film would be a huge undertaking, even if it is on the lower budget end of things. That said, I firmly believe the story of Port Robinson Road is the most important element. I have full confidence in creating the piece, but lower budget or not, it does take months and I wouldn't be paid for this effort, which is something I have to keep in mind. That said, shooting another "concept video" so to speak is something I am seriously thinking about. I do know it'll be better than the last, because the script is done, and I have a better vision of where I want things to be and go. I'm thinking about it. But I do have some short films in the works, which take up a lot time as well. We'll see what happens. But mark my word, Port Robinson Road will be made."

FESTIVAL UPDATE:
The Atlantic Film Festival has passed on Breathing Port Robinson. McRae says, "Once again, it's disappointing, but this is the nature of the business, some get in, some don't. We must continue to push forward with the film, remaining positive, knowing that someone will "get it"
I have always felt, and will continue to feel, that Port Robinson Road is a film that must be made, the story must be told, and I will continue to do what I can to make sure that happens.
In the meantime Bruce and I are moving onto other projects to keep the creative juices flowing and keeping our creative work and expertise out there."
Dave McRae says there are several more festivals that Breathing Port Robinson will be submitted to, and if nothing comes from the festival circuit, expect to see the film online in the near future.

FESTIVAL UPDATE:
Breathing Port Robinson was "not" accepted to this years Toronto International Film Festival, or the Toronto After Dark Film festival. Dave says, "It's disappointing for sure, but Breathing Port Robinson is going to be a very difficult film to get accepted anywhere to be quite honest. It's content, presentation, simplicity and charm may very well go against it, especially in this world of glitz and flashy presentations. However, someone will "get it" someone will "understand it" and someone, somewhere will accept it." Dave McRae and Bruce Dale are still waiting on The Atlantic and Vancouver Film Festival decisions. Bruce and Dave plan on continuing the submission process into the Fall season.

Post production continues with Breathing Port Robinson. Dave McRae informs portrobinsonroad.com that when the documentary is completed, it could very well hit the 2 hour mark if not a little longer. "So far the picture lock is 90 minutes" says McRae. "And we still have a lot more to put together in the weeks ahead. Now keep in mind that this is the first picture cut, things will change. Bruce and I will go over everything and weed out all the moments that are too long, not long enough, under developed, too developed etc. But once everything is complete, I could very well see the picture being two hours, if not a little longer. But it's important to make sure it's an exciting, entertaining, informative and spooky full 2 hours. It has to be, or people are not going to watch."
The documentary Breathing Port Robinson, which takes an inside look into the real story behind Port Robinson Road, the feature film in development, is scheduled for a 2009 release.
